Program Description

Most small businesses do not fail because owners lack effort or ideas—they fail because profit was never intentionally planned. Planning for Profit is a hands-on, two-part workshop series that helps entrepreneurs and small business owners define their market, sharpen their pricing strategy, and build a practical 36-month financial plan for growth and profitability. Rather than treating marketing and finance as separate exercises, this program integrates them into one planning discipline: Who will buy, why will they buy, what will it cost to deliver, and when does the business become profitable?

Who Should Attend This program is designed for entrepreneurs and small business owners who want to turn an idea into a clear, actionable strategy. Whether you are starting out or looking to grow, you’ll learn how to define your customer, build a pricing strategy, and translate your vision into a practical financial plan

What You’ll Walk Away With·     A clearly defined brand identity on who you serve, what you offer, and why customers choose you·     A practical pricing strategy grounded in market demand, competition, and capacity·     A complete 36-month financial plan with month-by-month projections, including funding needs Together, these elements provide a clear, practical pathto building a profitable and sustainable business.

Workshop Team: Five experienced SCORE mentors will guide participants through the process of building a market-driven business and practical financial plan. The workshop team brings decades of experience in financial planning, business strategy, risk management, customer insights, and organizational growth. THIS IS A FREE IN-PERSON EVENT AND SPACE IS LIMITED Tuesday, November 10 &17, 2026 5:00pm to 7:30pm
