MindLeaps seeks Dance & Movement Instructors to work with children ages 8 – 9 years old, for a Summer Program July 11 through August 19, 2022. Classes are Mon, Tues, Wed from 1pm until 4:30pm in the Bronx working with children affected by parental incarceration in collaboration with Children of Promise, NYC. Group Interview / Training is on Wednesday April 27, 2022 (1pm to 4pm, Location in Manhattan) MindLeaps seeks instructors in NYC with backgrounds in education, dance, movement or sports. The instructors should have experience working with children.
BIPOC instructors are strongly encouraged to apply. The instructors will work on a team of certified MindLeaps trainers to support the social-emotional learning of children from under-resourced communities in New York City. These are paid positions with paid training in MindLeaps’ standardized curriculum. The instructors will co-teach the fun, aerobic MindLeaps curriculum consisting of a 45 minute warm-up, across-the-floor/diagonal, and choreography inserts. The instructors will have the opportunity to design and teach simple to advanced physical routines/inserts.
