Vaccine Management Specialist

The Vaccine Management Specialist for BOI will conduct activities critical to the success of the federal vaccine programs including COVID-19 vaccination campaign and the Vaccine for Children (VFC) Program

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the enrollment of NYC providers into federal vaccine programs, including COVID-19 and VFC.
• Receive, review, and approve enrollment submissions/applications and vaccine orders requested under the Vaccine Management Teams.
• Conduct outreach to vaccinating providers regarding their enrollment status and their vaccine ordering capabilities and assist with placing vaccine orders.
• Verify receipt of vaccine orders placed by providers.
• Provide technical assistance to providers interested in enrolling in federal vaccine programs.
• Provide guidance regarding the Center for Disease Control and Preventions’ (CDC) storing and handling vaccine requirements.
• Conduct ongoing analysis of enrollment submissions data and COVID-19 and VFC vaccine order supply.
• Assist in retrieving vaccine ordering and administration data from NYC’s Citywide Immunization Registry (CIR) using SQL.
• Compile and distribute reports on federal vaccine usage to providers as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in working with the health care community.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills, with ability to multi-task and track activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Committed to the primary prevention of disease through vaccination.
• Master’s Degree in appropriate field, MPH required.
• Experience in SQL, SPSS or R programming preferred.

SALARY 

• Salary range is $65,000 to $75,000
