Shift Supervisor
Salary Range: $47,503.00 To 47,503.00 Annually

BronxWorks is hiring one (1) Shift Supervisor for the Homeless Outreach Team
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise outreach personnel during overnight shift.
- Train staff in safety measures on a regular basis.
- Meet with Outreach Team leadership on a regular basis to report any staff concerns or concerns about field operations.
- Ensure compliance with incident reporting
- Conduct field outreach with outreach team.
- Conduct regular field visits to engage and build rapport with chronically homeless individuals.
- Document all interactions with or on behalf of clients in the system of record.
- Maintain familiarity with social services and resources available both on-site and in the community.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Candidate must have a valid drivers license which has been held for at least 1 year; in the last 3 years, candidate must have obtained no more than 3 license violation points.
- One-year of homeless outreach or related work experience preferred.
- Ability to engage and build rapport with populations with high support needs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to represent the agency at functions and meetings.
- Excellent organizational, teambuilding and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented and resourceful with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology.
- Bilingual/multilingual preferred, but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb five flights of stairs.
- Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
- Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation.
- Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather. e TB Test required within the first 120 days of employment.
