Job Summary:
WHEDco’s Research, Policy and Evaluation Department provides research support for WHEDco’s work,
including exploring trends in our programs and in our community in order to support the organization’s
efforts in innovative and responsive program design, determining the impacts WHEDco’s programs have
on participants and the community, and providing data and information for key stakeholders.
The Research Coordinator will work on quantitative and qualitative research projects, obtain data for
reports, and as requested, assist with research project coordination, and provide guidance to program
staff with data collection and entry practices.
Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Assist in the design and development of research projects.
  • Develop research, policy and evaluation visuals, briefs, and reports based on findings.
  • Assist with research project coordination.
  • Train, assist, and support database users as needed.
    Qualifications:
  • MA/MS in a related field (such as Public Policy, Sociology, Economics, Urban Studies/Affairs)
    preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and critical and creative thinking skills.
  • High level of computer proficiency.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access skills.
  • Familiarity with SPSS, SAS, or Stata.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Strong writing skills, including ability to synthesize and effectively communicate complex ideas
    in a clear, concise manner.
  • Detail-oriented, with high standards of performance, including ability to accurately obtain,
    clean, and maintain data.
  • Strong time management skills with ability to complete projects in a timely fashion.
  • Willingness to learn, develop skills, and build knowledge on WHEDco’s work.

  • Someone who honors and respects themselves and others.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
    Must be willing and able to work a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where desk/computer-based work
    can be completed at home and field research and some support for database in the office as needed.
    Excellent benefits and competitive salary ($65,000 – $75,000) based on experience.
    All new hires must provide proof of having received at least one dose of a U.S. Food and Drug
    Administration (“FDA”) authorized COVID-19 vaccine by their first day of employment, and proof of
    full vaccination within 30 calendar days.
