Job Summary:

WHEDco seeks a part-time Receptionist who demonstrates appropriate and effective practice skills in a
collaborative model with WHEDco’s on-site programs. The role covers all aspects of WHEDco’s
programming at all locations. The Receptionist will manage all aspects of the Front Desk, will be
knowledgeable of all of WHEDco’s services, and demonstrate the ability to multitask and manage a fastpaced switchboard.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Welcome and announce all guests and direct them appropriately.
• Answer calls at WHEDco’s main number and direct them to the appropriate people.
• Retrieve messages and voicemail and inform staff appropriately.
• Prepare and distribute food pantry sheets and tickets weekly.
• Input food pantry data into WHEDco’s Client Tracking System (CTS).
• Complete an input open and closed tenant and staff work orders into YARDY, the property
management database.
• Assist individuals seeking Family Support (FS) assistance by inputting their contact information
on shared referral.
• Prepare WHEDco staff ID cards.
• Sort and distribute packages and mail.
• As needed, assist individuals in translating documents and scanning documents to emails.
• Participate in in-house and external staff development and training activities.
• Perform other related duties as may be requested by Director.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree preferred
• Proven ability to read, write and speak clearly in English required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage a busy switchboard system
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Excellent benefits and competitive pay rate ($16.00 per hour) based on experience. This is a part-time
position (approximately 20 hours per week).

All new hires must provide proof of having received at least one dose of a U.S. Food and Drug
Administration (“FDA”) authorized COVID-19 vaccine by their first day of employment, and proof of
full vaccination within 30 calendar days.
