Responsibilities:
- Real Estate Lending:
- Provide information to members about credit union’s real estate loan products, policies, procedures, and rates.
- Interview members, discuss their financing options, and pre-qualify them for prospect mortgage application
- Cross-sell credit union services while assisting members with specific requests.
- Once pre-qualify, schedule an appointment with potential borrower to begin the Mortgage application process.
- Underwrite Real Estate loan application and present to Lending Manager, CEO or Credit Committee for approval.
- Follow up with borrowers for any outstanding loan documents.
- Order Appraisal
- Order Lien/Title search
- Coordinate loan closings among credit union attorney, borrowers and other involved parties.
- Ensure that UCC liens or mortgages securing credit union’s interest in collateral are properly filed and recorded.
- Collect co-op corporate documents for credit union’s Attorney review-as needed.
- Program Management:
- Ongoing, review credit union Real Estate lending policies and procedures, and suggest improvements where appropriate.
- Meet regularly with Lending Manager.
- Attend and participate in general and lending staff meetings
- Reporting/Operations:
- Open new mortgages in the data system as needed
- Other:
- Follow internal control procedures.
- Attend professional development seminars, workshops and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the credit union.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or at least three years’ related experience in the field
