Description
This organization is seeking a multi-faceted real estate organization that involves in the development, finance, construction and asset management of new and rehabilitated multi-family housing for low to middle income New Yorkers.
Responsibilities
- Management of contracts through all project phases – planning, design, procurement, construction, and close-out.
- Monitor project status and prepare status reports to ensure compliance with schedules and contract deliverables.
- Analyze and resolve project issues; conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with significant construction matters such as constructibility reviews, submissions, contractor and subcontractor approval, processing payments, RFI responses, delay analyses and schedule control
- Visit field sites regularly and attend all site meetings
- Provide support in the preparation of scope, cost estimates, bid comparison/analysis, contractor selection, execution of contracts and purchase orders
- Manage capital projects of routine to moderate complexity
Education & Skills
- Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management; or equivalent work experience with high school or vocational degree
- 6 years or more of experience in the construction industry, preferably in residential / affordable housing
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required.
- Proficiency in writing and communication.
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks and work with multiple demands.
- Blue beam is recommended
