Manager of Philanthropic Engagement

HOPE is seeking a Manager of Philanthropic Engagement who will be responsible for building and developing long term relationships with donors. The position reports to the Director of Development.

Responsibilities
Individual Giving
● Develop and implement an individual donor program which leverages HOPE’s existing
base of donors and volunteers to increase major gifts by 20% in two years.
● Leverage corporate engagement opportunities to identify and cultivate prospective
individual donors.

● Ensure effective donor stewardship through prompt and compelling thank you letters,
phone calls and other cultivation.

Minimum Qualifications
● Bachelor degree and 3 or more years of development experience.
● Proven track record of closing 5 figure gifts.
● Impeccable oral and written communication skills including strong editing and
proofreading skills.
● Ability to cultivate and steward relationships with diverse donors and prospects.
● Capable of working on multiple projects at once and meeting deadlines.
● Highly organized and detail oriented.
● Project management and special events experience.
● Technical proficiency in Salesforce a plus. Must be competent in MS Office and other
applications.
Salary/Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $55,000 – $65,000, and is dependent upon
experience. HOPE provides a full package of benefits including healthcare and dental
insurance, retirement plan, competitive vacation (plus half-day Fridays during summer which is
equal to 7.5 additional vacation days), and 12 paid holidays.
