Description

The organization is seeking a Director of College Access will manage the operation of our college access program. This will include overseeing and assisting a team of College & Career Readiness Specialists in the facilitation of our college exploration curriculum, managing the Ronay Menschel Scholarship and partnerships for college access.

Duties and Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Collaborate with PN Leadership in the development of a College Access
  • Work closely with Community School Director to build on the 4 pillars
  • Alignment with Workforce and Career Readiness supports.
  • Work closely with the Workforce Ed. team and operations to create opportunities for referrals to PN Workforce and career pathway programs
  • Lead a team of College & Career yo engage and meaningful plan to support a cohort of high school students through their college and financial aid application process.
  • Design a recruitment and retention strategy to ensure program meets target enrollment
  • Review current PN workshop materials and create standardized content/ lesson plans/ scopes and sequences

Case Management & Facilitation

  • Might work individually with students to provide them with the tools/ information needed to research schools
  • Complete college applications and the financial aid/ financial planning process.
  • Might assist in the facilitation of the curriculum by providing direct service instruction to participants
  • Establish a comfortable learning environment and implement clear, consistent age-appropriate expectations
  • Model appropriate child development practices

General

  • Ensure progress-monitoring of College Access Model targets; ensure data is entered into Salesforce on a regular basis and accurate
  • Handle additional responsibilities and functions as assigned by the Managing Director

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
  • Experience  (2-4 years) in College Guidance and in supervision of staff
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer literacy
  • Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the social and academic needs of in-school youth
  • Ability to participate as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Understanding of and ability to meet performance-based outcomes
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and work within a results-oriented environment
  • Computer literacy
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, initiative – and a sense of humor are a MUST!

Salary

$70,000 USD per year
