Position Summary:

The WIOA Train & Earn Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the program’s adherence to Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) guidelines and other federal, state, and local regulations. This individual will be responsible for monitoring participant compliance, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring efficient service delivery. The Compliance Specialist will collaborate closely with the Outreach Team, Retention Coordinator, Case Managers and Data Team to support the participant experience and maintain program integrity. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented professional to support a vital workforce development initiative aimed at helping youth and young adults succeed.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $55,000 – salary is commensurate with education, training, and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Management: Monitor the participation of WIOA Train & Earn program participants, ensuring compliance with program requirements and generating reports on time and attendance for accurate tracking.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Outreach Team, Retention Coordinator, Case Managers and Data Team to maintain communication between departments, facilitating timely follow-ups and outreach to support participant engagement and continued enrollment.
  • Documentation Management: Compile, review, and submit relevant documentation such as eligibility requirement documents, timesheets, pay stubs, employment verification forms, incentives, and other forms to the Data Team for processing.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance for monthly TANF sampling, validation requests, and other compliance reviews as required by federal, state, and DYCD.
  • Data Reconciliation: Assist the Data Team with the monthly reconciliation of participant data, ensuring the accuracy of all activities, dates, and time & attendance records within the Salesforce and DYCD Connect Systems
  • Reporting & Analysis: Review reports regularly to track participant progress and ensure program compliance with WIOA regulations, reporting any discrepancies to relevant teams.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in workforce development or related fields is preferred, especially with knowledge of WIOA Train & Earn program policies.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. Familiarity with databases and reporting systems is highly desirable.
