Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative and operational support to the Executive Director 
  • Serves as a trusted advisor and liaison to the Executive Director and members of the Executive Team to help advance the agency’s goals 
  • Receive and respond to communications on behalf of the Executive Team, prioritize and direct inquiries, requests, and tasks, responsibly manage work and projects, demonstrating management and leadership abilities to effectively move work forward 
  • Serve as the liaison to the Board of Directors, Junior Board/Leadership Council and other organizational structures, schedule and facilitate Board and Committee
    meetings, draft meeting agendas and materials, and accurately record and file minutes 
  • Own and lead the implementation of the agency strategic plan 
  • Produce superior work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with project teams throughout the organization, effectively negotiate deadlines and communicate changes, challenges, and expectations 
  • Manage and coordinates the Executive Director’s extensive calendar 
  • Maintain high degree of professional integrity in handling sensitive or confidential material 
  • Perform other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by the Executive Director or Executive Team 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred 
  • 2-3 years of relevant, progressive experience preferably in a non-profit setting 
  • Ability to multi-task, good judgement in prioritizing incoming communications and requests and responding appropriately to sensitive or urgent situations 
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point 
  • Proficient with working on the Internet 
  • Familiarity with office systems, procedures, and corporate etiquette 
  • Superior technical skills, including the ability to learn and master a variety of business applications 
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills, ability to speak effectively and report to a variety of audiences, including senior program leadership and the Board of Directors 
  • Highly organized, efficient, and able to work under pressure 
  • Must be able to keep accurate records 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, gracious manner, courteous in speaking with clients, and ability to work as a part of a team
