Fall is here, and UNHP has a full calendar of free, confidential services to help you stay stable in your home and strengthen your finances. We are also sharing three affordable housing lotteries now open on NYC Housing Connect. Some close in just days, so read on and apply before each deadline.

Every service below is free and confidential.
Financial Coaching
Sit down one-on-one with a coach to talk about credit, debt and savings. Sessions are by appointment on:
- Mondays: October 19 and 26, November 2 and 9
- Tuesdays: October 13, 20 and 27, November 3
Tenant Support Unit (TSU) Counseling
Having trouble with your landlord, repairs, or staying in your home? Meet with the Tenant Support Unit at one of these dates:
- Thursday, October 8 at 2715 Bainbridge Ave
- Thursday, October 22 at 45 West Tremont Ave
Ask UNHP Seminar
Bring your housing and money questions to our last Ask UNHP session of the year on Thursday, October 29, from 4 to 5 pm. Join in person or on Zoom. Register at bit.ly/26AskUNHP. Sessions resume in 2027.
Rent Freeze Screenings
If you are 62 or older, or a tenant with a disability, you may qualify to have your rent frozen. We will check your eligibility and help you apply. Screenings are by appointment, Monday through Wednesday. Call or text us to book.
Housing lotteries open now on NYC Housing Connect
Three buildings are accepting applications. Each lottery has its own income range and deadline, so check that your household fits before you apply. If you haven’t applied yet, submit by the building’s deadline.
