Description
We are presently seeking dedicated professionals to join Urban Health Plan (UHP) in the capacity of Registered Nurse I/II. As an RN at UHP, you help to shape and transform the health and wellness of children, adults, and families that frequent our outpatient primary care and specialty clinics.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
- NYS Registered Professional Nurse, required.
- All experience levels are welcome to apply, whether this is your first role as a nurse, or you are coming in as a seasoned nurse.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required for most openings (or Bilingual English/Bengali).
- Excellent ‘bedside’ manner, compassion, empathy, and team-driven attributes are essential.
- Knowledge/training in electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
Key Duties:
- Triage patients and assists patients with their needs based on acuity.
- Provides quality nursing care and medication administration. Administers immunizations/vaccines to specified patients.
- Monitors patient reactions and side-effects.
- Assists care team with pre-visit planning for high-risk patients.
- Ensures implementation of plans of care.
- Behaves as a role-model and source of nursing guidance to medical assistants and phlebotomists that are part of the team.
- Assists with prepping patients as needed and providing patient education.
- Assists providers during examinations and treatments.
- Ensures proper sterilization procedures using germicides, sterilizers, or autoclave.
- Ensures departmental adherence to clinical policies and procedures.
- Maintains health records by documenting patient contact and updating patient profile.
- Implements standing orders.
- Checks equipment, logs, and medical kits. Assists with ordering medical supplies, medications, and vaccines.
Starting Compensation:
Registered Nurse I (ASN): Minimum $81,000/annum; Maximum $91,000/annum; Registered Nurse II (BSN): Minimum $86,000/annum; Maximum $97,000/annum.
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Onsite, Bronx, NY, Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
