Program Specialist
Salary Range:$17.14 Hourly Onwards

RESPONSIBILITIES
- BronxWorks is seeking a part time seasonal (Mondays July-November) Program Specialist to ensure Mott Haven Farm Stand operations
- Following all policies, regulations, and workflow procedures as outlined by BronxWorks Community Health Programs.
- Position requires coordination with BronxWorks Community Health Programs and SNAP-ED Program Coordinators to place weekly orders with vendors
- Enforce Farm Stand rules and regulations, set up and break down the Farm Stand tents, equipment, and signage.
- Serves as a Farm Stand host to welcome and engage shoppers, promoting good relations between vendors, as a representative of BronxWorks.
- Assist shoppers with use of benefit payments and nutrition programs (SNAP, FMNP, Health Bucks).
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2 years experience with farm stands preferred.
- Engaging personality, excellent interpersonal skills and be detailed orientated.
- Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
- Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.
