The Position

HOPE is seeking an Operations Manager, Bronx Programs who will work directly with staff and clients to
ensure the smooth operation of the program. The position reports to the Director of Bronx Programs. This is a
hybrid position, working out of HOPE’s South Bronx location at 1360 Garrison Avenue twice weekly.

Responsibilities

● Manage payroll for training program cohorts, social enterprise transitional workers and other
HOPE participants as needed.
● Enter hours into the payroll system based on timesheets, oversee the process of timecard
approval, and process payroll on a weekly basis.
● Collaborate with the Finance Team to troubleshoot issues and make system enhancements using
Paycom, as needed.
● Create and run reports as needed to provide oversight.
● Support onboarding of new training program cohort participants and social enterprise transitional
workers.
● Enter participant program data in departmental tracking sheets and Salesforce, including
attendance, certification completion, and program status.
● Resolve questions or concerns from participants and prepare program documents for
participants, as requested.
● Oversee an operational team of 2, which includes the Transitional Employment Program Assistant
and the Driver.
● Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties
in this job classification.

Minimum Qualifications

● High School Diploma or equivalent required.
● Experience in the fields of construction, building energy-efficiency, property maintenance, or
horticulture is a plus.
● Experience with project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and reporting is a plus.
● Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Ability to work with and motivate adults of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
● Very detail-oriented, well-organized and able to work on multiple activities simultaneously.
● Commitment to making NYC a sustainable and equitable city.

Salary/Benefits

The salary is dependent upon experience. The range for this position is $55,000 – $65,000 annually. HOPE
provides a full package of benefits including healthcare and dental insurance, retirement plan, competitive
vacation (plus half-day Fridays during summer which is equal to 7.5 additional vacation days, and 12 paid
holidays.
