Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, the HR Manager will assist the management of the office and HR operations. The HR Manager will be responsible for the administration of all of the full cycle recruitment activities for all full-time and part-time positions, employee performance management, and managing all CUNYfirst HCM processes

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree and six years’ related experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

CUNY, Higher Education setting, and/or Human Resources experience strongly preferred

ability to communicate effectively ane act/or Human Resources experience strongly preferred

A proactive, hands-on attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize effectively, multitask, shift priorities quickly, and under pressure

Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field

Ability to develop and manage various tracking systems

Excellent management, supervisory, and leadership skills

Superior follow-through, oral and writtern communication skills

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW

Manages a portfolio of Human Resources programs and operations at the college level.

  • Assumes responsibility for delivery of one or more Human Resources programs, which may include recruitment, performance management, labor relations, pay administration, recordkeeping, and/or Human Resources technology.
  • Manages staff responsible for carrying out operations in the Human Resources Office.
  • Directly supports College Department Chairs and Managers in staff planning, recruiting, hiring and resolving sensitive personnel issues regarding their employees.
  • Provides guidance on the impact of laws and regulations, CUNY policies and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Provides outreach to employees and provides communications such as meetings, newsletters and websites.
  • Compiles accurate and well-organized reports.
  • Assists management with developing policies, procedures and programs to support Human Resources’ objective.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$86,645 – $108,472

Salary commensurate with education and experience.
