Position Summary: Phipps Houses is looking for a Yardi Program Manager to partner with our teams to most effectively manage our work and data.  By better leveraging the capabilities of Yardi, Phipps will provide more value to our tenants and create economics of scale for the organization.  The Program Manager will help us unleash the power of Yardi to drive performance.

The successful candidate will have strong project management skills and a customer service mindset.  Our ideal candidate has experience in affordable housing property management and a deep knowledge of Yardi.

This role will need to build relationships throughout the organization to be most effective, and will be a hybrid of in-person and remote.  Our New York City office is centrally located in the Flatiron neighborhood.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership 
    • Lead Yardi projects: ensure clear timelines, next steps and accountability for work completion.
    • Proactively communicate with department heads to understand short and long term needs and concerns.
    • Analyze business requirements and select appropriate Yardi functionalities to meet needs.
    • Implementing new Yardi modules, such as inspections and tenant work orders: Make project plan, determine steps for roll out, ensure sufficient testing, and communicate changes to users.
  • Partner with Business to Make Processes More Efficient and Accurate
    • Work with Database Administrator to create custom reports and dashboards to drive performance.
    • Serve as an internal advisor to user groups and make recommendations to help the business optimize Yardi.
    • Lead processes to improve automation efforts and use data to drive performance.
  • Training and Change Implementation 
    • Work with database administrator to train users so users can increase their skills and decrease Yardi errors.
    • Create a training curriculum for Property Management staff using resource from Yardi University. Lead/and or coordinate on a periodic basis, and as needed.
    • Create onboarding tools for new employees
    • Write clear, user-friendly documentation to communicate changes and upgrades.
    • Monitor new releases and work with business to determine which upgrades to implement.
  • Customer Service and Coach Mentality
    • Coach users on how to find the information they are looking for in Yardi.
    • Quickly and accurately answer “how to” questions in Yardi.
    • Direct staff to the resources in online Yardi University, so users can increase skills and decrease errors and “how to” inquiries.
  • RESOURCES & PARTNERS:
    • The Program Manager will work closely with a full-time Yardi database administrator, and will liaise with Yardi professional services.
    • Develop and maintain a close relationship with Yardi and influence their roadmap.
    • Stay abreast of upcoming functionality Yardi changes.
    • Attend annual Yardi conference and share learnings with Property Management leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree Required.   – Business Management or other related field of study
  • 3+ years of project management experience and strong project leadership skills
  • 3+ years of Yardi experience, including 1+ years with Yardi Voyager Affordable
  • Deep knowledge of Yardi reporting tools
  • Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Affordable housing industry experience, ideally in property management
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical details and instructions to users in a user-friendly way
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple teams, including internal, external and remote staff.

Salary: $95-115k annually
