Position Summary:

HOPE is seeking a manager to oversee holistic services for HOPE’s retention programs. This position fulfills
the HOPE mantra of “HOPE 4 Life”. The Alumni Support Manager oversees a team of 3 Retention Associates
and creates a HOPE Alumni Network by supporting 400+ program graduates each year with holistic services
including employment coaching, case management, relevant programming and regular communications to
ensure graduates grow in their career and give back to the HOPE community. The Alumni Support Manager
reports to the Director of Wellness. At this time, the position is hybrid and reports to both the Bronx and
Brooklyn office for a total of two in-person days per week.

Responsibilities:

Holistic Services
● Partnering with the Director of Wellness, ensure all departmental goals are met.
● Lead the team in connecting 400+ program employed graduates to employment coaching, case
management and short term therapy.
● Support and meet retention milestones for HOPE graduates at one month, three months, six months,
one year, and two years.
● Develop and execute enticing retention programming and incentives.
● Coordinate two major graduate events per year.
● Develop communication strategies leveraging existing HOPE channels and content.
● With Executive Team, align on Advancement Goals and create Advancement Strategy
Management and Programmatic Support
● Manage three Retention Associates in meeting contract goals.
● Stay current with policy and programs in the education and workforce development field.
● Manage grants by ensuring timely and accurate service delivery, documentation and reporting, in
partnership with the Director and Finance.
Quality Assurance
● Conduct quality assurance to ensure minimum services are being delivered and data is accurate and
properly recorded, and codify best practices in the Program Operating Guide.
● Ensure that required data and deliverables are gathered and maintained for all funding
partners.
● Help foster a student-centered culture among the team.
● Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Experience managing small project teams to develop, execute and complete assignments.
● Demonstrated ability to meet program goals. (This position is measured against retention rate.)
● Experience in managing a performance based contract.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting, productive
relationships with a wide range of partners and stakeholders.
● Problem solver, flexible and adaptable.
● Demonstrated experience soliciting customer feedback and using it to adjust programming.
● Experience in building, documenting and implementing processes.
● Strong digital skill, experience with CRM for reporting preferred.
● Associates Degree and/or 5 years of demonstrated experience in workforce development or a related
field.

Salary: $65-75k annually
