ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Louis Nine House (LNH), located in the Bronx, has 46 studio apartments for young adults (aged 18-25) who are homeless or have aged out of foster care. Many of our tenants have experienced multiple foster care placements, emotional trauma, neglect and/or abuse, and many also struggle with mental illness and substance use. We provide affordable housing and an integrated continuum of support services designed to help young adults achieve stability, maintain sobriety, and work toward the self-sufficiency needed to obtain and sustain permanent housing and independence. Through case management; onsite psychiatric services; and our vocational and educational program, residents are supported to advance their personal development, pursue their education, identify career interests, acquire vocational skills, and secure employment.
REPORTS TO: Chief Program Officer
BASIC FUNCTION: The Program Director is responsible for providing supervision and oversight for all aspects of the operation of Louis Nine House. Utilizing an interdisciplinary team approach, ensures the coordination of vocational and support services, including case management, psychiatric, and social services and recreational activities. The Program Director collaborates with finance, property manager, clients services coordinator and facility to coordinate functions relating to the operation of the facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supervise and oversee the integration and quality of program services for this 24-hour facility including staffing.
· Ensure provision of on-site social service programming for residents including mechanisms that provide for residents’ input in all aspects of the program and building.
· Monitor residential stability including timely payment of rent, apartment maintenance and compliance with lease and contract requirements.
· Ensure quality assurance of client’s records, and all program’s data bases in accordance with professional standards and that the program is in compliance with government contracts including the timely submission of all reports.
· Monitor progress towards achievement of performance outcomes and for continuous quality improvement.
· Coordinate with Client Services Coordinator obtain new referrals and Supervise outreach and recruitment process for new tenants.
· Liaison with Building Management regarding facility maintenance and tenant issues.
· Develop program budgets with CFO and monitor expenses.
· Represent the agency in the community, with funding agencies and participate in consortia relevant to client needs.
· Work with Director of Human Resources and Volunteers to identify needs for volunteers.
· Interview, hire and supervise all staff.
· Work collaboratively with staff at all levels to ensure quality service provision and the development and improvement of team performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
· At least three years progressive clinical and supervisory experience in a social service setting working with people with mental health and substance use disorders, young adults and/or at-risk youth, and have experience in a residential setting.
· Candidate should have a strong understanding and commitment to the developmental needs of young adults, sensitivity to ethnic and cultural diversity; embrace a client-centered, housing first model as well as working from a strength-based, youth-development perspective.
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Bi-lingual preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Regularly required to use near sight vision to operate a computer.
· Regularly required to use routine office equipment including a computer and a telephone.
SALARY: $70,000 -$75,000 per year
