RESPONSIBILITIES 

Employee Relations:

  • Responsible for effectively managing the review and resolution of code of conduct related matters inclusive of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, unprofessional behavior and other complaints ensuring the right balance of risk mitigation, engagement and fairness is delivered
  • Provide oversight to Employee Relations life cycle from 0-100% while providing training and development to HR Generalist(s) with their individualized cases 
  • Ensure investigations are conducted in a timely manner involving coordination and collaboration with other internal partners and prepare all required documentation, while maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity to all concerns
  • Make certain that all employee matters are handled with a consistent and focused approach that is aligned with BronxWorks vision and values
  • Remain current on HR practices along with applicable federal and local legislation and regulations and ensure compliance across your client groups.
  • Participate in investigation procedures and collects data to support internal and external complaints and other employment-related issues.
  • Provide guidance to program leadership while assuring consistency with regards to disciplinary decisions of organizational policies and procedures 
  • Collaborate to identify potential areas of employee relations risk and develop and implement plans for prevention or mitigation
  • Oversee Employee Relations life cycle from 0-100%, provide adequate support, training, and development to HR Generalist(s) with their individualized cases 
  • Process and manage unemployment claim and exit interviews

Human Resources Compliance:

  • Support the development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct benchmarking, data collection and best practices analysis.
  • Assist with maintaining current policies to ensure compliance.
  • Support Quality assurance of personnel files and HR records 

Talent Acquisition & Strategic Recruitment:

  • Determining selection criteria, hiring profiles, and job requirements for vacant positions
  • In partnership with leadership, define key metrics for recruitment, including productivity measurements and success of hires 
  • Drive the build of a more dynamic recruiting culture by developing pipelines, creating candidate flow, and increasing business partner involvement in the recruiting process 
  • Proactively source candidates through internal and external channels; cold-calling, networking, social media, employee referrals, internal movement, and other creative sourcing channels · Spearhead programs and initiatives that meet short- and long-term recruiting needs 
  • Partner with Marketing to develop and implement strategies around employer branding to proactively attract top talent 
  • Leverage ATS as a strategic tool by ensuring there is clean data for tracking and reporting to inform data-driven decisions for the Talent Acquisition and broader leadership teams  
  • Managing hiring processes via electronic Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Ensure accuracy of job title(s), job code(s), job descriptions while monitoring and updating as needed in applicant tracking system – ADP Workforce Now
  • Ensure accuracy of comprehensive recruitment list which includes requisitions and status of all new hires 
  • Collaborate with HR Generalist with recruitment efforts for the organization which may include assisting and/or participating in career fairs 
  • Provide support to recruitment team for staffing management needs
  • Perform additional duties as assigned  

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree with 3-6years of recruitment and employee relations experience and or overall progressive HR Generalist experience
  • Experience writing agency policies and guidelines
  • Proven track record of developing and managing relationships across all levels of the organization. 
  • Solution oriented, analytical problem-solver; Proactive, positive, deliberate, and focused thinker. 
  • Able to balance working independently as well as in a collaborative team environment in a fast-paced energetic culture 
  • Strong oral and written communication, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other standard business technology is required. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to use a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and retrieve objects and/or documents.
  • Ability to travel in the boroughs of New York City and its adjacent counties via public transportation.
  • Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather, if required to conduct home visits and/or field work.
