FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Biological Sciences Department seeks to hire an Assistant Professor who would start in the Fall, 2023 semester.

The successful candidate should have the ability to teach, at a minimum, General Biology and Anatomy and Physiology. Day, evening, and weekend teaching may be required. The successful candidate will have to contribute to curriculum and program development; serve on department, college, and university committees; advise and mentor students; and work on other department related projects as needed.

We will be prioritizing the hiring of a faculty member with a background in Biomedicine, either in industry or in academic research, to complement the strong research programs of our current faculty.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D. degree in Biology or a closely related field is required by the beginning of the Fall, 2023 semester when appointment begins.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience teaching General Biology and Anatomy and Physiology both in person and online to diverse student bodies
  • Ability to teach Microbiology
  • Ability to teach day, evening, weekends, face-to-face, and online
  • A background in biomedical research and/or experience working in the biomedical industry.

COMPENSATION

$52,267 – $90,375;
